Interview with an art therapy client

An Audio Image Recording is a discussion between a client and an art therapist for the purpose of reflecting on the client’s experience of art therapy. As the voice of an ‘expert by experience’, the client’s reflections may be useful to those considering art therapy or for organisations who may be evaluating the incorporation of art therapy as a service to their clients.
This Audio Image Recording was produced by Adelaide Art Therapy with the full consent of the client at Centacare Catholic Family Services. It demonstrates the process of creative arts therapy with a young man who was facing some tough life challenges. This recording shows how the art helps the young person develop self awareness, regulation and new insights into his behaviour.
